If your business is still being reviewed, you can send up to 50 SMS messages every 24 hours. You can continue using the rest of Hellotext normally while this review is in progress.
Why is my account limited?
SMS carriers and recipients respond better to businesses that send relevant, expected messages. The temporary limit gives Hellotext time to review the quality of your sends, including things like:
- Whether contacts have a clear reason to receive your messages.
- Whether the content matches your business and the customer relationship.
- Whether messages avoid spammy, misleading, or unusually high-volume patterns.
- Whether your sending behavior keeps opt-outs and complaints low.
This review helps protect your business reputation and improves the chance that future SMS messages are delivered successfully.
How do I know if my business is under review?
In your business settings, you may see an “SMS limited” status below your Business ID. This means your business can operate normally, but SMS sending is limited to 50 messages every 24 hours while Hellotext reviews sending quality.
If a message cannot be sent because the daily SMS limit has been reached, the Inbox will show the message as not delivered. Hover or click the error icon to see the reason.
When will my SMS sending limits increase?
Hellotext reviews sending quality as your business sends messages. Once your business is verified, your SMS sending limits are increased and the temporary daily limit is removed.
You will receive an email when your SMS sending limits have been increased.
What should I do while my business is being reviewed?
Use the limit for your highest-quality sends first:
- Send to customers who recently interacted with your business.
- Keep messages clear, useful, and connected to the customer relationship.
- Avoid uploading cold or unverified lists.
- Make sure customers can opt out when required.
- Watch replies, opt-outs, and failed messages for signs that your audience or content needs adjustment.
Are credit accounts affected?
No. Businesses on a credit agreement are already trusted through their commercial relationship with Hellotext, so they should not be placed under this temporary SMS review limit.

Can I still use WhatsApp, Instagram, Webchat, Journeys, and the Inbox?
Yes. The temporary review limit only affects SMS sending. Other Hellotext features continue to work according to your plan and channel configuration.
Does the limit reset every calendar day?
No. The limit is based on a rolling 24-hour window. If you reach 50 SMS messages, you will be able to send more as earlier sends move outside that 24-hour window.
Can Hellotext increase the limit manually?
In most cases, limits are increased after Hellotext verifies sending quality. If you need help or believe your business should already be verified, contact Hellotext support.
What happens after my business is verified?
You will receive an email letting you know that your SMS sending limits have been increased. After that, your business can send SMS at its normal account capacity.
